Afghanistan; where life rejoiced

Afghanistan; once famous for its productivity and prosperity, life, and traditions had suffered and is still paying the price of a war enforced on them. Before this nation got struck by war it used to be the epicenter or the paradise of fruits and dry fruits and Afghanistan was its major exporter. The landlocked country with rough and tough terrain truly narrates the strength of this nation.

Now it seems as if bombs and explosives cultivate in this land. The dark clouds of war have ruined this nation, dragging it back to stone ages. Let it be any sector of life from education, government to just everything, all ruined in the aftermath of war.

There are several factors which have added to worsen the situation. One of the major reasons is the lack of unity as a nation which has played a vital role is giving advantage to a bunch of fanatics. They have destroyed life in this country, forced people to live as immigrants in different countries and made life miserable for those who couldn’t get out of there.

Political instability and tribal divisions has caused a greater damage to this nation as a whole.Internal conflicts within the tribes have always kept the country to rise as a united nation.

Afghans are a very friendly and lively nation, but because of the dirty politics and personal interests and lust for power and tribal and war lords. Looking at their situation and comparing it to that in Pakistan I feel as if the people of both countries are suffering because of similar factors to some extent. Politicians and tribal lords had always exploited people and kept control of all the resources and benefitted from them.

The only thing that has mattered to them is their share in wealth, their personal interests and that has always left the people to pay a heavy price. It’s only the poor commoners who are at loss all the time.

Our problem is that we are no doubt Pukhtoons, Balochs, Sindhi and Punjabi but sadly never think as Pakistanis. Same is the case with Afghanistan, they are well organized in tribes; Pukhtoons, Hazara and divided into regions but not for a single moment think as a nation. The moment these people start to think and act as a nation, things are for sure going to change and definitely for betterment.

Isn’t it long enough of suffering to make us realize our mistakes and to break free from the clutches of this modern slavery??? For how long are we going to let it continue?

Well, i dont think u can by any means compare Pakistani situation to that of Afghanistan. Factors and Actors both are not the same....Pakistan is a military state comprising of more than 160000000000000 bird minded ppl who havnt even figured out thr identity...believe it or not pakistan infact belongs to the Punjabis, all others are trying to live in it...
Pashtuns created modern day afghanistan....finally why havnt u included pakistan into the factors of distruction of afghanistan...lols giv it a thought,

Ilhan,

You are right. Pakistanis have to understand that it’s a time of self-reflection
