A huge explosion was heard early in the morning around 6:45. It occurred near an intelligence agency office located in Peshawar Cantonment. So far 10 have been reported dead. The wounded and dead were taken to Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) and Combined Military hospital (CMH). The security authorities took control of both these hospitals and Khyber road has been sealed for traffic.

It is said that the area will be cleared in a while and the road will be opened for public. Educational institutions in the Cantonment and adjacent localities have been closed immediately. The security situation in the country’ particularly in Peshawar is getting worse every day. People fear going out of their homes to their work places or educational institutions. It has now become a regular practice to have such incidents especially on Friday.
