Once again the tradition of celebrating multiple Eid is maintained. Thanks to the differences on political level, eid seems to be pre-planned rather than being judged based on moon sighting.

Every year there is a clash on when is Eid going to be and the result is multiple eids. It appears that this is a matter of personal wills and stubborn attitudes which ultimately results in this. The provincial authorities had a conflict with the central committee and both were not willing to agree on one thing. It is rather a shame that on this religious day the nation is split into groups with differences.

The chairman of committee, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman never seems willing to accept or agree to the decision of N.W.F.P. The government announced in advance that it will not be going by the decision of the central committee. This trend should be discouraged and measures should be taken to agree on one decision regarding this religious event.
