Pakistan :

In today’s world parents always claim that they have given EXTRA freedom or the right to decide things in their life.

I would certainly not agree to this notion. Children are free to decide what to wear, hang out with friends, relax for a while and such things only. When it comes to the life changing decisions, it’s the typical tactic of “emotional black-mailing.”

Parents always win it by saying now you have grown up so much that our views hardly matters to you or you don’t consider us anything now and blah blah blah.

The point is are we really free to live our life? I don’t say that parents should be neglected, but are the children not even allowed to give their rightful view when it’s their life at stake?

It’s not the thought of parents, but it’s the impact of society that forces the parents to think that way. It’s the problem with the people of Asian sub continent that they never allow a person to work according to his interests. He always has to prove himself up to the expectations of other people.

Yes you are right.Particularly now when global economy crysis is all around the globe. You must live with them, listen to them and if you don’t you can find another place to live.In these days it is very hard to find a job,and without it you can’t have your own indenpendence. In patriarhal family like mine it is not good to be smarter then your father, cause his eggo will try always to drag you down.
