The true picture of security situation in Pakistan was witnessed as GHQ (General Headquarters) was brought under attack by terrorists dressed in Army uniforms. Four of them were shot down at one of the check posts while search was carried out for others. Reports said that 6 Army personnel also lost their lives in this incident and still some are taken hostages by 4 to 5 militants in a building.
This is a matter of concern for the entire nation as to what is really going on in the country and what type of situation are we living in??? There is no doubt that situation is not good throughout but such an activity in high security zone further creates millions of concerns among common people.
There can be several aspects of this confrontation between army and militants. If noticed it is the third event, first two in Peshawar and now this. It appears to have been staged to defame the image of armed forces as the militants were dressed in uniforms and to put a question mark on the capability of the armed forces. It is carried out at a time when military operation is all set to be launched in Waziristan. It can be a probable reaction by the militant groups as they have taken its responsibility.
The other aspect is the possible activity of “Black Water” as pointed out by media in this case particularly and long ago in general. This specialized group of trained agents is reported to be actively present in the capital and Media has time and again pointed out the adverse effects their presence could have in the entire country. Our government very nicely and firmly denies their presence in any part of Pakistan.
They are the only people refusing to accept this fact otherwise even a layman knows what the reality is. According to some, it is most likely carried out by RAW in turn of Kabul blast. If things are linked one could guess the source of such activities. It seems to be a joint venture against Pakistan and its sovereignty.
The biggest concern is that if there were intelligence reports about the probable attack on GHQ and the plan of action of the militants then how come measures were not taken. Why wasn’t search operations carried out to prevent it from happening in the first place?
Isn’t this event enough to close the chapter of militancy in Pakistan once and for all??? What else is awaited to happen so that our leaders will realize the severity of the situation??
